Hi Sky765,

For help with ensuring your can view photos with macOS Mail, check to see if the 'Block All Remote Content' privacy setting is enabled. The steps below found in the article here can assist: Use Mail Privacy Protection on Mac - Apple Support

"Use Mail Privacy Protection on Mac

  1. In the Mail app  on your Mac, choose Mail > Settings, then click Privacy.
  2. Select Protect Mail Activity.

When this option is selected, your IP address is hidden from senders and remote content is privately downloaded in the background when you receive a message (instead of when you view it).

If you deselect the option, you can choose to separately hide your IP address and block all remote content. When Block All Remote Content is selected, a banner is shown in a message when you view it, indicating it contains remote content; you can choose then to download the content."

You can also use the steps here to ensure your connected to receive emails as expected. Use Connection Doctor in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

If the issue continues, see if you can load content when checking from your associated webmail account. You can also find more helpful information here: Troubleshoot email problems in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

Cheers.
