Using Anker docking station on Macbook pro, and trying to use samsung webcam

I have a Macbook pro, an Anker docking station and a Samsung s40va monitor with a built in webcam + speakers. I was able to successfully connect my Mac to the monitor and am using it as the primary screen when I WFH; however, when I join a teams meeting, the webcam on the samsung is not recognized by the Mac.

I only got this monitor so I could have a larger screen for meetings, what can I do to successfully pair the webcam in my monitor to my Macbook?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.2

Good afternoon kayrob22,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

It sounds like you are trying to use a third-party docking station and monitor with your MacBook Pro, and we'd like to help.

You may need to refer to the Anker and Samsung User manuals to determine the best way to set up these devices with your MacBook Pro.

If you can't get the webcam on the Samsung s40Va monitor to be recognized by your Mac, try using your iPhone as a webcam. Here are some instructions on how to do that:

Use your iPhone as a webcam on your Mac

Take care.
