Quick path keyboard won't accept the word "the".

Quick path often replaces "the" with "there". I entered the same two sentence below using Quick path and SwiftKey.

Quick path (got them wrong)

There is the words I always use to start a sentence.

Why can’t Quicken path figure out that the words there is not the word there?

The restart did help. After the restart it continued to use “there” then it switched to “thee”. I kept manually correcting the word to “the” and repeating the phrase and after a few more corrections it got the phrase right. When I entered the phrases above it got them both right. I don’t know what’s going on in the background but it seems that resetting the phone and then correcting the words the first few times it entered them wrong, has resolved the issue.

Hello creomurure83,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. We'd like to help out by recommending some steps to help troubleshoot this issue. That way we can try to sort this issue out. Let's try the following steps below:

1.) Navigate to Settings > General > Keyboard.

2.) Locate "Slide to Type" and turn it off.

3.) Restart your iPhone to help refresh things.

After your iPhone restarts, turn on Slide to Type and test to see if that helps out. Also, if you have any pending updates available for your iPhone, it would be a good idea to install them. This can usually help with unique issues, since updates include fixes. Just in case, this link can guide you through the update process: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

1.)Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.

2.)Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.

3.)Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.

4.) If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.

5.) Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

We hope these steps help out. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Cheers.
