Screen Time - Content and Privacy Restrictions - Websites Never Allow

iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 16.2

I'm trying to use the Content Restriction feature in Screen Time to block social media websites on an iPhone. I added several addresses, like IG, FB, and Twitter, to the "Never Allow" list.

Despite this, I can still open these websites with no warning, no need for a passcode, nothing, so these sites are still very much allowed.

Iphone is updated to the latest iOS, and I have rebooted it and turned the feature on and off and on again.

Any tips on how to make this feature work?

Hi there mtotland,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. If you're having issues blocking specific websites using Screen Time, we can recommend trying the following steps, which will help us isolate and work toward resolving any unexpected behaviors:

  1. Turn Screen Time off: Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
  2. Restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
  3. Update to the latest iOS version available, which currently is iOS 16.3.1: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
  4. Turn Screen Time on: Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Don't hesitate to respond back if you still need assistance with blocking these sites.

Have a wonderful day!
