Apple Care + coverage

I understand I can purchase apple care + within 60 days of my iPhone purchase. If I damage or lose my phone in that time, but buy Apple Care + after I damage the phone, will this still be covered?

No, it will be tested or examined before coverage begins; you cannot claim damage that occurred before it was covered.
