Is there any way to ACTUALLY move photos from “recents” to a new album instead of having to “add” them?

I’m really not appreciating being forced to have two copies of the EXACT same thing because “adding” photos does nothing but make a copy.🫠

I don’t want a copy, I want to completely move that photo OUT of recents and INTO a separate album.

Is that at all possible on an iPhone?😭😭😭

I honestly feel like Apple does this so that we run out of space sooner hoping that we’ll cough up even more money for their iCloud storage.🙃🙃🙃🙃

It is not making another copy. It is just tagging the photos with the name of the Album where it can be displayed.

Try deleting photos then you will get a pop message that will tell you that it will get deleted from all the Albums. What does that mean? Please try it. If it is a copy it will delete without any warning!
