A box containing the words RAW JPEG appear in the top left-hand corner of my photos. How do I remove this, and prevent it from happening automatically?

The badge "RAW JPEG" will be shown if your photo is a pair of of a RAW image and a JPEG. Have you set your camera to shoot RAW & JPEG pairs? If you currently are using the RAW file as the original, the box will show "RAW + JPEG", and if the JPEG is selected as the original, the box will show "JPEG + RAW". I find it quite useful to be able to se e at a glance, if I am currently working with the RAW file or the JPEG.


You can turn off the display of the RAW&JPEG badge overlay in the menu "View > Metadata > File Type".
