Spellcheck not working on Ventura
Since I got a new computer with Ventura installed. There is no way to enable spellcheck. How would I enable it?

I've changed it as you suggested and there is still no change. Still just the underlined misspelled word, with no offer of a correction.
Sorry to say, I tried all these suggestions.Safe mode or any app I try. Still not working. Also did the unchecking and checking again and rebooted. Only thing is does now is underline the misspelled word. Does not offer a correction like it used to with a touch bar.
Try booting into Safe Mode and see if it works. A third-party app may be interfering.
Thank you! But everything is turned on and Still not working.
Click the "Edit…" button in the screen you posted.
You're welcome. What apps are not working? When you misspell a word in a reply here, or you type something into TextEdit, it's not working?
Its not working anywhere. Not here, not any browser I use.
Did you try unchecking the Correct Spelling Automatically and then turning it back on?

For each app, go to Edit > Spelling and Grammar, and make sure you have checked the items you want to work.
Is it this Touch Bar setting: System Settings > Keyboard >Touch Bar Settings... > Show Typing Suggestions
I don't use the Mac with the touch bar anymore. Was just saying. The Mac I'm using is a Macbook Pro M2 Pro and No suggestions seem to work. I'm starting to think it's the way Ventura is.
In your settings, where it says "Spelling" and "automatic by language", try clicking on that and set it to US English and restart.
