Carplay wired connection lag in 2023 santa fe limited Hybrid

When I connect my phone to my car(wired connection in 2023 santa fe) the carplay starts and everything works fine but after a few minutes, the car play starts to lag (when I touch the screen it takes 1Min to 1.5 Min to register the touch). Using iPhone 13 Pro Max, IOS updated to the latest version available. Does anyone knows how to permanently fix this? I use apple chord to connect my phone but issue continues.

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 16

Hi raghu261,

The first step to fix this concern will be identifying the responsible component. At this time you've mentioned 3 separate possible components: the iPhone, the cable, and the vehicle.

The simplest element to rule out will be the cable. Try CarPlay using another USB cable and if the behavior does not persist, you will have identified the problem and can resolve it with a cable replacement.

The next step will be to test another iPhone in your vehicle or to test your iPhone in another CarPlay compatible vehicle. If all iPhones have the same issue in your car, then the car stereo would be the cause and contacting the manufacturer for possible updates or solutions would be next. It's worth noting your specific model is not mentioned at iOS - CarPlay - Available Models while other 2023 models are at this time.

If your iPhone will not work in any vehicle but others do, examining your device to check for restrictions, installed apps or other settings will be necessary.

Regards.
