Using screen mirroring to watch Netflix.

Why is it impossible to watch downloaded on Iphone series from streaming platforms like Netflix or Disney+ using screen mirroring, even when two followed devices are connected by a wire?

Is there any solution of this problem? Netflix app on mac doesn't exist so i would like to find a way to watch it offline. I look forward to see a response from you. Thank You!

Hello metel_,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Certain streaming platforms such as Disney+ might offer you the option to download content for offline use. However, in order to be able to use screen mirroring features such as AirPlay, you do need to be connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network as mentioned here: Use AirPlay to stream video or mirror the screen of your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Connect your device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV, AirPlay-compatible smart TV, or Mac.

Disney+ also confirms this on their website here: How do I Cast or AirPlay Disney+ to my TV?

Make sure the iOS device with Disney+ and the Apple TV are both connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

We hope this information is helpful. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Take care.
