I was just trying to sign in to my Apple account with my Face ID so that I could inspect my settings because I think someone has my Apple ID and is manipulating my account and my device wouldn't allow me to no matter what I did. The Face ID to me is the only true security that I have. But once I mentioned aloud what my intentions were it suddenly allowed me to use Face ID with this support site as of they heard me and released the hold they had. What should I do?

Your Apple ID password is what matters here.

Face ID is an optional short cut, not a replacement for the Apple ID password.
