Apple watch series 7 compatibility issue with iphone 6s

Hi,

recently I have bought second-hand apple watch 7 and when trying to pair it with my iphone 6s (which should be compatible), ios version 15.7.3 it says that my ios version is outdated.

Thank you for your help

This means the Apple Watch 7 your purchased was updated to WatchOS 9. And for ANY Apple Watch running WatchOS 9, you MUST own an iPhone which is updated to iOS 16 or higher. This means the watch you purchased is NOT compatible with your iPhone 6s as it is not possible to update it to iOS 16. You either need to return the watch for refund OR buy a newer, more modern iPhone. There are no other options.
