airpod pro 2 cant turn off the sound when open the charging case

That’s weird I have the same issue and I put the serial number into apples website and it said the serial number is real and the only issue I’ve had so far is the case noise setting not showing up which is fine since it only makes noise when it is reset

Hi, when you say computer, could I try plugging the case into my windows 10 computer? This issue is driving me mad as tried all the steps many times but still no option showing at all to turn the sounds off (not even a greyed out part that’s been mentioned)

I too have this issue. I use them with a Samsung S22 Ultra because I prefer Apples Airpods but even when I connect the Airpods to an iPhone and then turn off the sound settings, whenever I pick them up in the morning, they chirp away annoyingly for about 30 seconds!! It is extremely annoying! I've had like 3 different versions of Aipods with the Pro 2s being my latest and I can say 100% that I won't be replacing with newer versions. It is really annoying. Throughout the day time it's not really that annoying as it's usually loud when you're out and about but 5-6am in the mornings when getting ready for work and you wake your wife up with stupid beeping noises! Also, why won't Apple make some kind of app for them to be used in Android? They would sell so much more. The amount of people who I speak to who like them but won't buy them because you cant change the settings in Android. Before anyone bashes me with just buy the iPhone, I shouldn't have to and own ipads and a Mac book Pro etc.

After trying everyone's suggestions, my airpod pro 2's still make sounds even when I just slightly bump my bedside table. There is absolutely no rhyme or reason why it makes a sound as I have turned the sound setting to "off". Even when they are fully charged and completely cleaned, they still make noise if moved but not every time they are moved. I'd say it goes off about 75-80% of the time if they are touched or moved in any way. Very frustrating, especially at night when I'm using them and my Husband is trying to sleep.

Same issue, and maybe a related issue. Some airpod functionality is limited if you don't have an iPhone. While I can click on "Find My" in the settings on my Macbook and open the app, the Find My will not work unless you connect Airpods to an Iphone, based on my discussion with Apple support. I wonder if the case sounds are somehow related to this.

This worked for me. Thank you so much--it's been a problem for months. I typically charge my AirPods Pro 2 case on a wireless pad which apparently frequently disconnects/reconnects. The case ends up 'dinging' every few minutes and can be outright aggravating, particularly at the office. I spent months casually researching, spending ten-fifteen minutes here and there sifting through comments here and Reddit, Quora, other user forums. Finally decided to dedicate a couple hours straight and in one sitting read through and try methods until I found a proper fix. You are the best, thanks for sharing (:

I highly agree. I have to constantly be quiet and dont want the sound to go off. Can apple say something or do to help? I do not see any options for the sounds that the airpod case makes. Hella annoying.

I have the same issue with my AirPods Pro 2. Have you figured out a fix as yet?

As far as I know, there is no fix and Apple isn't listening.

Same issue yet when I can’t find my AirPods the sound never works. It says will sound when connected. Apple can ya please fix this !

I can’t even find the setting to turn the noise on and off and it only makes noise when I’ve reset the AirPods
