My iPhone 12 purchased before one year showing screen blackout after updation. I have done all the troubleshooting mentioned in the apple website and contacted the service centre after the troubleshooting. They told me it's due to the screen. Replaced the screen and after updation of rhe software it shows the same problem. Now they are saying i have to replace the screen again.

On updation, i observed high temperature on the device. What is the solution? Can you help me

Hi ajeshkz,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. By screen blackout, do you mean that your iPhone is completely black with no response? If so, the steps in If your iPhone won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support are the best to try first.

"On your iPhone 8 or later, including iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd generation)

  1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
  3. Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
  4. If your phone doesn't turn on, follow these steps to check your hardware and charge your phone. You might need to charge for up to an hour.
  5. If your phone still doesn't turn on, contact Apple Support."

If those steps do not get a response from your iPhone, a repair center such as the one you've been working with will be in the best position to help since the issue may be hardware related. You can see others near you from Find Locations - Apple.

Take care.

Hi there ajeshkz,

To confirm, did the Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Store replace the screen on your iPhone? If you replaced the screen yourself and the issue keeps arising, we recommend finding a nearby Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Store to service your device.

Also, in some scenarios, it is normal for a device to feel more warm than usual. The details below go into further detail about that:

"Your device might get warm

You might notice that your device feels warmer when you:

  • Set up your device the first time
  • Restore from a backup
  • Wirelessly charge your device
  • Use graphics-intensive or processor-intensive apps, games, or features, including augmented-reality apps
  • Stream high-quality video

These conditions are normal, and your device will return to a regular temperature when the process is complete or when you finish your activity. If your device doesn't display a temperature warning, you can keep using your device."

That information is from this link: If your iPhone or iPad gets too hot or too cold - Apple Support

Take care.

Dear Faith185,

Thank you for the reply. I have done all the steps that mentioned in the apple support. Also, I consulted this issue with apple service center near to my native place. Then, replaced the screen according to their observation. After the replacement of the screen, it worked properly. After the next software update, the replaced screen shows the same problem as before. Also observed high temperature in the device on update. So, I thought its not the problem with the screen. Its due to the hardware. If I replace the screen again, the same problem will occur again on update. How can I resolve the problem. See, this occurs after one year of the purchase of the phone from most innovative technological company in the world!!!
