Belkin MagSafe Compatible Car Phone Magnetic Charging Air Vent Mount does not support Car Play

I recently bought the Belkin magsafe car charger, and it does not seem to support wired apple car play.

I have a Honda 2018, which supports CarPlay and works if I run a cord from my Iphone 14 pro to the USB port in the car. The Belkin mount and charger seems to support charging the device from the port, but the car displays a message that the connected device is not responding if I place it on the belkin magsafe holder.

Could it be possible that Belkin says they support magsafe on an iPhone14 pro, but don't support car play?

Kind of defeats the purpose for me
