My Mac won’t connect to my home wifi, but will connect to a personal hotspot. What to do?

First thing I always try is to reboot my Wi-Fi network...simply unplug your router/gateway for a couple of minutes, then plug it back in. After plugging it back in, allow a few minutes (at least) for the network to reboot and for the router/gateway to reconnect to your ISP's internet connection. Then try to reconnect you MacBook to your Wi-Fi.
