I have a MacBook air (13 in, Early 2015). It has always worked great. I'm noticing that the software never shows any software updates. I tried going to the app store to download a later version and it will not let me download anything. Is my computer just too old now?

I have the same year of mac as you and as mentioned Monterey is the final MacOS version you'll be able to install but you will however still receive occasional security updates from Apple. The latest is 12.6.3.
