If purchased form Apple, then you can make a claim here to change the date: Correct a Purchase or Expiration Date - Apple Support

Return the phone immediately for a refund.

You will have to take that up with Apple. Our advice is to return the phone for a refund. It is not working fine, and there will be no quick "bug fix" to change that.
