An iPod is a music player, it does not fit into anything. It connects to a charger via a cable. Also, the iPod earbuds are wired, they are not chargeable.

Are you perhaps referring to an AirPod (wireless headphones)?
If so, what is not fitting, the actual earbud into the charging case? Or the charging cable into the case's port?
If the AirPods, please explain what happens when you try to insert them. Are they oriented correctly to go into the relevant port in the case? They only go in one way.
