Emails are blank and mail keeps downloading email everytime i start it up.

So an my macbook pro 2021 m1 i have 5 email accounts, 2 gmail and 3 exchange. Since the start of this week (maybe a week earlier too, i was on a holiday) one my exchange accounts is showing blank emails.

So i receive new emails, but the messages are all blank. On my Iphone i can see all the emails, included the body of the messages. so this issue is only shown on my macbook pro. Weird part is, that is only showing blank emails on 1 of the 5 accounts. The others work just fine.

So last monday i spent hours on the phone with apple and searched all the forums to see what i could do

Steps already taken:

  1. Start in safe mode
  2. rebuild mailbox
  3. Deleted and added the account
  4. Deleted all drafts
  5. Customer service of apple helped me with deleting all mails and redownloading them again
  6. we checked all of my applications if they could interfere in a way
  7. unchecked al boxed of the privacy setting in mail
  8. made other account on my macbook and added the exchange mail, it showed the same isse.
  9. Started my macbook from 2018 and it also runned ventura and it showed the same issue

Weird thing is, my mail keeps downloading a couple hunderd of messages once in a while. But no new messages appear. This is really weird.

But since today, i suddenyl could see the body of all messages i received since yesterday, though not of all the new messages i received today.

So i tried to rebuild the mailbox again, and now al the messages are blank again.

Also when i try to send new emails i get the following message:

That message send me on a hunt and let me to this forum:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/email-not-sending-parameter-name/aa29b72d-a4e5-40bd-b52c-2154534bde1b

But i still do not have any solution for this issue.

Can anybody help ??

Apple mail has an issue. Many have reported emails with no content. I get about 10% with no content. They are ok on Outlook And at my provider’s web site. You can scan the community for other comments on this issue. Tell Apple about this issue. No fix to date!

So at this point there is an emerging issue in regards to this and it is being worked out on the back end of apple. An alternative option for your email is to use the https://apps.apple.com/us/app/microsoft-outlook/id985367838?mt=12 Microsoft outlook app and add the exchange mail account. In the mean time keep trying the app every now and then and look out for updates. Any other questions or concerns Contact Apple Support 1-800-MY-APPLE

Hope This alternative option helps

So above is the image for the filter button. If highlighted this does means that the messages are being filtered which would make some or all not visible.

If these steps do not resolve the issue and as stated previously you have tried safe mode. Since the issue doesn't persist on any other devices or on Email provider site. Per the steps in How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support > If the issue continues in safe mode

If the issue continues while in safe mode, or your Mac restarts several times and then shuts down while starting up in safe mode, you should reinstall macOS and make sure that your Apple software and third-party apps are up to date.

You do want to make sure you have completed all least invasive troubleshooting steps first like removing Log out of or remove email accounts in Mail on Mac - Apple Support and adding it back Add email accounts in Mail on Mac - Apple Support.

If you need assistance contacting apple support via Apple support app on any IOS, IpadOS MacOS device or Calling 1-800-MY-APPLE.

Hope this helps

With it routing you to exchange its most likely the exchange account that isn't syncing. Here are somethings to check..

Hi KarliF92, thanks for your reply.

What do you mean with mail filtering should be off?

yeah mail works just fine on the outlook.office site and i get all my emails on mail on my macbook. It is just that they are blank messages.

Walked through the steps of not receiving or sending mail and it still doesnt work.

And i have 400gb of free strage, should be enough for a couple of emails right?
