No, it is not necessary to install any antivirus. iOS already has very good security built in. The only thing you need to remember is a good passcode for your iPhone, preferably 6 digits, and a good password for your Apple ID.
All the apps you download from the App Store have been checked from end to end by Apple, so they are safe. Beyond that, no app can "change" anything outside the app. That is no apps have access to the iOS system.
