How do I know if the USB-C port on my Macbook Air (2015) supports DP Alt Mode

I'm trying to connect the above Mac Book Air to a projector for Keynote presentation. My projector uses HDMI, but the macbook doesn't have this port. If I get a USB to HDMI adaptor, how do I know the USB support video output?

Hello Annieonone,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We see you have some questions about the compatibility of your Mac with DP Alt Mode, and we'd like to help. Looking at the technical specifications of your model of MacBook Air, you will need a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter. Here is more info: MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015) - Technical Specifications

The good news is the Apple Store has some available: Mini DisplayPort - Power & Cables - Mac Accessories - Apple

Regards.
