Disabling Macbook Pro Internal Display

I have a mid 2015 MacBook Pro, and the hinge is severely off-kilter. It can't be closed without damaging the machine further. Also the screen is partially corrupted to the point of unusability. In short, I want to only mirror the external display it's currently connected to, which is set up properly. However, having the internal and external displays enabled is taxing the GPU significantly. I know I can decrease the brightness to zero on the internal display, but I know the computer is still driving the internal display, because in certain lighting conditions, the content on-screen is still extremely slightly, barely perceptibly visible. Is there a way to ensure the computer isn't driving the internal display at all without closing the lid?

My MacBook13 Pro 2020 M1 was doing the same since I had external display as only display visible with MacBook13 always closed using as CPU with external Keyboard/mouse. There lied the problem at first. 2 USB flash drives for bluetooth devices, activating “Wake-Up“ and login request for mackBook, but neither mouse or keyboard drives registering. Open MackBook for first time in a year maybe, to reboot manually from Status Bar. WTF JUST HAPPENED? Now Both

External and Internal Displays DARK!

Both have Power, Both hung on Start-up requiring authentication and login. Yea, right. What part of black screen do I enter that on?

Q: Do you have a Roku or Smart TV on same Network as MacBook? Try AirPlay ITunes or Spotify, even YouTube from Macbook to Roku. Not Mirroring Device screen, running device apps through Roku.

Reason: I’m trying to troubleshoot issues with Macbook11-14 and 13Pro M1 (my model) which seemed to lose display funtion when switching to external displays (monitor or TV) then back to Macbook if Top was closed while switching. Testing Airplay connecticity would validate what area I believe is issue(Dual Chips each carys driver for display. Both communicate like internal/external drive, for handling different adjustments to output when Monitor is 36“ vs, 12.25“ MackBook Screen!“ I never open or close my macbook to shutdown or wake from sleep. Voice activated with Siri.

Note: When I did open during snow storm and power outage make sure it was off before disconnecting all plug-ins to evacuate a few cities east, it worked fine. next day at hotel, open to power up- Only thing lighting up is green L.E.D on CapsLock!

Everything is total Blackout!
