My iPad when using the Apple Pencil doesn’t seem to last over 5 hours of usage. I thought this would be because my iPad is a few years old but friends with new iPads are having this same problem so it can’t be because of battery health. This not very helpful for school usage - what can we do to maximise battery whilst writing for long periods of time.
Battery endurance between charges will be affected by many factors - such as the App(s) used, CPU/GPU load, screen brightness and temperature. Some graphics intensive Apps are particularly power-hungry - although four hours use before requiring recharge does appear rather low.
If both you and others are experiencing the same issue, assuming that you are using the same Apps, this might suggest that the App (or Apps) themselves are the issue.
