Problems having two different music libraries

Hi,

I'm having a problem managing my two libraries. I have one on my computer which I want to Sync with my iPhone, and another one on an external SSD. The second one is for DJing purpose and I DON'T want this library ton synch with my iPhone.

At first I thought "Oh well, it's gonna be easy. I just have to Sign Out from iTunes when I'm connected to my SSD library."

It turns out that the computer doesn't want to consider them as separate. I have to keep them both signed in or signed out... I don't know what to do because I'm scared that every time I open one library, my phone will erase the whole content of the previous library and replace it with the one that's open. The same process could happen vice versa.

Does someone knows if there's a solution to specifically ask the computer to only sync one of the two libraries?

My main issue is that I don't want my phone to resync every time, nor my music files from my SSD to go in the cloud (because the copy isn't bit perfect and I don't want iTunes to mess with my library)

I am guessing you are automatically syncing to your iPhone over WI-FI as in the 'Sync your content using Wi-Fi' section of:

Use iTunes to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer - Apple Support

If so, why not turn that option off and only sync manually using the USB port as in the 'Sync or remove content using iTunes' section of the above link.

As step 3 in that section shows, you can instead of selecting your entire library to sync, you can choose only selected playlists (for example). Then just divide your library into a DJ playlist that you never sync and the other one that you always sync. I believe that option works in either case (WI-FI or USB).

See Use Sync Library to access your music library across your devices - Apple Support. Each library can have the Sync library option turned on or off. All libraries where it is turned on will merge via the cloud, but you can open a library where the feature is turned off and use it independently. You don't need to sign out of your Apple ID, and doing so confuses things when you sign out when you are connected to a library where Sync Library is enabled, e.g. may invalidate downloaded Apple Music content.
