Chrome is unable to access internet

Just downloaded Chrome on my old Mac Book Pro (Big Sur) and it runs fine. But on my new Mac Book Pro (Ventura) when I launch G mail or even Google I get a message "site cannot be reached. DNS Address cannot be found. Then DNS probe finished, No Internet". Yet I can access all sites using Safari and speed tests show strong internet speed. Any help would be appreciated.

Since Safari and everything else is working normally it suggests some kind of misconfiguration in Chrome.

The following might be helpful: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/3296214?hl=en It describes how to to reset Google's Chrome browser to its default settings.

If that doesn't immediately solve the problem you would almost certainly be better off posting your question in a Google product support forum. Click the Community link at the top of that Google help page.
