Hi there kersh1173,

To start, we recommend seeing if the issue is isolated to your iPhone, or if the messages are also being removed from your inbox on other devices and/or directly from Big Pond's webmail service. If the messages are missing from other devices, the issue would likely be with your email provider, Big Pond.

However, if the iPhone is the only location the messages appear to be missing from, we would suggest checking what your iPhone storage looks like. If it is low, it may not be able to retain older emails. You can use the information in How to check the storage on your iPhone and iPad - Apple Support to verify how much storage is being used, and how much you have available.

Don't hesitate to let us know if you need additional help.

Thanks for replying, kersh1173, and that additional info, it really helps! To help isolate this further, let's have you remove the account and add it again:

"Remove your email account and set it up again
1. On your computer, sign in to your email provider’s website. Make sure that all of your email is there or make sure that your email is saved somewhere other than on your iOS or iPadOS device.
2. On your device, go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts.
3. Tap the email account that you want to remove.
4. Tap Delete Account.
5. Add your account again.
If the steps in this article don't help, contact your email service provider for more information."

And that is from here: If you can’t send email on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Have a great day and thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

I had already deleted the account and set it up again and it only brought in messages to where it had deleted all the others. I need more history than only the last 2 weeks. This is a recent problem, it didn't happen when I got the phone in December, its been happening over the last month. Surely it can't be a provider issue? Bigpond is massive and there is no way I would be the only person having this issue.
