AirPods Max without ear cushion causing loud noise

i just tried on my AirPods Max without the ear cushions on them to see what it’s like and it made loud sharp screech noises which made my ears very sore and feel weird. Why is this? Has this happened to anyone else ? And can this cause any problems with me ears?

What is wrong with my airpods pro? Loud static When there is a loud noise my airpods will pick up on it and turn super staticky. My music will keep playing but you could barely hear it and honestly the static is so loud it hurts my ears. example, when I close my car door or my front door which is metal and I have my air pods on it will suddenly turn staticky. It is very loud.

airpods pro making loud noise i’ve had my airpods pro (1st gen) for almost three years. it wasn’t until about a year ago that i’d noticed, every single time i put my airpods in and they start suctioning (or if i touch them even the slightest bit) or even just when the bass is going really hard during whatever song i’m listening to, my airpods will make a an extremely loud noise as if they’re having trouble suctioning to my ears. i’ve tried every size ear tip, i’ve even bought memory foam tips to see if the issue was just my ears but it’s still happening and it’s INFURIATING. i cant even go on a walk with them in because they’ll just scream into my ears nonstop if i make one tiny movement. please let me know if you’ve had this issue/how you fixed it if at all.
