why are my messages in green instead of blue

why are my iMessages showing in green and not blue?

iPhone SE (2nd generation)

Hello ArteeKay

iMessage is an Apple’s technology so it’s use when you send message to an Apple’s device with iMessage enable and connexion internet and when you have enable in the settings like this

To know :

If you send a blue message : it will be send with IMessage

If you send a green message : it will be send with SMS

yes, I had done all the easy stuff and my iphone was set for iMsg. I dunno why but turns out when I turned on "Send as SMS" in iMSg Settings, the green turned to blue. The "why" I do not know but that is all I changed.

Yes, it's weird, but it does the same thing to me

Thanks for your help. Hopefully it will not reoccur but since the grandkids were playing with our iPad and iPhones last weekend, it may have been that as the cause!!
