Is it possible to create a link in an email message that jumps to another location within the body of the same email message?

I am a writer. I like to write asides and creatively write. I'm working on my email production skills. Email is supposed to be succinct and professional. I want to create a link within my email message that navigates the readers that don't want to read excess text (because they are busy, not interested, etc.) around an aside or tangent to the next important part of the email message. I want to do this to make my email messages more professional while retaining my creative vision for how I want my writing to be made and read (I am self-employed). I've always liked professionally tweaking my writing examples to make them pop.

A little initial google research on this topic reminded me that what I basically want to do is what you do in Microsoft Word; either create a table of contents and link that way or create a bookmark within the message and link that way. Also google seems to be unable to do this on their mail client (gmail question/answer) but it may be possible in Outlook, I didn't continue looking for Outlook because I want to do it Mac Mail or google (because I like them better and have spent a lot more hours customizing them).

Don't let Microsoft win Apple gurus; tell me you have a solution for this Mac Mail word-processing functionality.

You are trying to make an email behave like a word processing document or a web page, both of which contain such formatting/functionality. Email is not a word processing nor web app. How an email is viewed is under the control of the recipient. As such, links etc. will not work in most recipient's received email.

If formatting and internal links are important to you, create a word processor document and attach it to your email.

I do not see how this is possible...

Nor do I see the practicality, try writing with less verbosity.

Web pages are a different interface and anchor tags/div ID functionality has been around for a long time.
