Genius broke my MacBook pro

Took my MacBook Pro in for a routine issue with the known fault of the butterfly keyboard. Needless to say they broke it further beyond usability and asked for £500 for the privilege of putting it back to how we brought it in 10 minutes previously. Any advise?

need a working MacBook Pro within 3 days!

If speaking to the manager does not help to resolve the situation, then you will need to contact Apple directly to report the incident. In the past I know Apple has investigated service complaints and will find out the story from the store/AASP involved. Hopefully they will be able to either resolve the issue for you, or at least better explain what is going on.

You are unlikely to have this resolved with a working laptop in just three days though.

You will have to deal direct with the store you walked into...

Not sure why you would walk out without having some resolve to your predicament.

You already said you had a known fault— what was the fault?

How is it worse when you say now "broke it further beyond usability"?

A work around is plug in an external keyboard.

The butterfly keyboard was problematic yes.

I will say replacemet parts & labor are only under warranty for 90 days (USA anyway)

You can buy a brand new Macbook Air for $999.00 w/ a better keyboard and have a 1-yr warranty.
