Tracking my macbook.

I recently had my MacBook ripped out of my hands as the guy that was interested in “buying” it reached out and locked onto it while flooring his gas pedal. The really frustrating part is I had just done a factory reset on it in case we agreed on a price, and he could take it then. But I was wondering if anyone had any way of tracking the MacBook. Maybe through an obscure google app, or when he turns it on maybe I can use the IP address to some how find it. I have all of that info still and in some apps like face book it says the Mac is logged in but not logged out. If anyone has any idea where to start I would appreciate r. Thank yall.
