I’ve accidentally muted notifications for an app for the whole day instead of just an hour. I want to turn them back on.
Apple has instructions that to do this I just swipe left on the notification, select options, and click unmute.
But I’ve muted the notifications, so I’m not getting them in order to swipe left on them. They aren’t there any more. Am I missing something? Even with phone unlocked they still don’t appear

Oh I figured it out. It is buggy. What I did was shut off the app notifications, then power cycled the phone. after restart, I re enabled the app notifications. I tested alerts just fine now. It must be a bug.

Apple did provide you the steps as outlined at View and respond to notifications on iPhone - Apple Support. Per that article:
* Mute notifications for an app: Swipe left on the notification or group of notifications, tap Options, then tap an option to mute the app’s notifications for an hour or a day. This sends them directly to Notification Center and prevents them from appearing on the Lock Screen, playing a sound, lighting up the screen, or presenting a banner.
* To see and hear these notifications again, swipe left on the notification in Notification Center, tap Options, then tap Unmute.
Now you said you're not seeing those notifications in order to swipe on them. If you go to Settings > Notifications and the app in question, what options do you see?

I ran into the same problem and she. I go to settings > app > notifications, I see the notifications enabled. Yet I still get no notifications.
yesterday I muted notifications from said app for “today.” Now it’s tomorrow and there are no notifications which I trigger when I walk in front of my security cameras.
something is wrong with unmuting. Like the first guy, I don’t have a historical notification from said app to swipe on and revert.
