Log in to https://icloud.com/find using the Apple ID that the phone is logged in to. Click on the device in the list of devices and remove it from your account. That will turn off Find My.

If you see the Hello screen your phone has been wiped and reset to factory settings. You must go through the setup process, then restore your most recent backup.

It doesn’t matter if they are offline. You can still remove Activation Lock by removing the device from your Apple ID, as it is managed on Apple’s servers, not on the phone.
