ADD email to previous recipients list

I am regularly writing to someone, but their address doesn't show up when I start typing.

Is there a way I can add it to the previous recipients list?

I'm not using the contacts address book (because I do that in Outlook and currently the two are not synced because of problems previously).

So I'd like a simple way to restore this person to my previous recipients list... but i can only find instructions for removing people!

Thank you all...

Hi JPW8,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like a contact email address is not showing as a previous recipient. Open the Mail app and choose Window > Previous Recipients. Check that the contact is listed there. If the email doesn't show, you will need to send an email in order for it to appear.

Send to individual email addresses

In the Mail app  on your Mac, do one of the following:
* In an address field (such as To or Cc) of your message, type names or email addresses.
* As you type, Mail shows addresses that you previously used in Mail or that it finds in the Contacts app. If you’re connected to network servers—for example, at work or school—it also shows addresses found on those servers.
* Click an address field, then click the Add button  that appears. Click a contact in the list, then click the email address.
* Note: If you forget to add a recipient that you mentioned in your message, you may get a reminder to add them before sending.

This can be found in Address emails in Mail on Mac - Apple Support.

Regards.
