Okay, there is one way to test for JIO users or any users in particular if you are on SA or not.
Only drawback is that now you cant force the iphone to look for SA with iOS 16.4 as they removed the toggle for many carriers.
Attaching a screenshot for reference
It’s the esim..do I still need new sim

5g network problem
What is your 5g network problem? Have you contacted your carrier about it, as 5g is a carrier-provided service.
I am a T-Mobile Magenta Max customer in Colorado. Just updated to 16.4 while in Texas with iPhone 12 Mini and do NOT have the 5G stand alone option. Is it because I updated in another state than where I live?

Great update. I also called them half an hour ago. They didn’t tell me such thing. But it good to know that they at least acknowledged and responded you and may be other many users.
Dis they give any timeline anyway?
Jio has publicly announced that they are using 5G SA only, after that they can not afford to do the mistake of using NSA as they may lose user trust and may also face legal challenges. Please check the belo screenshot
Don’t know, for me everything is working just fine I’m enjoying download speed between 500 to 1400+ Mbps voice connectivity is also fine, may be you should try taking a screenshot later when you’re latched on JioTrue5G.
by the way which place you belong to and what speed you are getting?
are you using eSIM?
In my menu, I dont see any "5G Nr ConnectionStatus" - but I see "5G Nr UIPdcpStatus", where I don't yet see any SA as any type - either deployment or connection, even when it is latched in to Jio True5G 5G network -
I have double checked, triple checked in fact . the screenshots I pasted are from Jio connection tab - not from my other SIM. And Yes - I agree that Jio has only SA implementation done as per media posts at least.. So I presume that I am on SA network
I am using 14 plus iOS 16.3 5G standalone option that time available but after update iOS 16.4 that 5G Standalone is not available without 5G standalone 5G speed now 126mbps in Jio sim before iOS 16.3 with 5G standalone download speed 1.1 Gbps
Yes, he is true. Jio has 2 types of 5G coverage .i.e., SA & NSA. That is why in areas where 5G coverage is poor, they provide NSA type of 5G. It is true that Jio has the largest SA type of 5G across the country but that doesn’t mean NSA type 5G is not given.

Update my iOS to iOS 15
Your post appears to have no relationship to questions about 5G SA on iPhones on JIO’s network in India. You would get much more useful results starting a NEW thread by clicking Ask the Community at the top of this page.
Even I am facing same issue. I am using e sim.
more over the area name is listed by the operator stating that 5G coverage is available but after IOS update SA option vanished. Even before the update I was using 5g
Yes
