Is my apple music hacked/broken?

A couple of days ago I casually opened my Apple Music app to find half of my playlists all messed up. This included SUPER random music that I did have added to my library but not that I had on those specific playlists. Along with several of my playlists all messed up there was also a bunch of random new playlists with weird names (ex: pmv, all-star, Covers, metal mix, Crowes covers and more, etc.) and a plethora of songs that are again, added to my library, but now added to random playlists I know I didn't create. Lastly, in the "Featured Artists" section of my playlists that remained normal, instead of my go-to artists I know and love on my specific playlists, there were many strange rock bands I didn't recognize, but all of my music and artists on said playlists remained the same. Can anyone help me out?

Hello dain128,

To help us get a better understanding of the issue, we’d like to ask a few questions.

1. Were any changes made to your device or account before this happened? If so, what changes were made?

2. Does the issue with playlists only happen with existing playlists, or do you notice unexpected content being added to newly created playlists as well?

3. If you access Apple Music on other devices, do you experience the same issues?

That information will help us plan how to proceed.

You can also find information on how to manage playlists in this link, which may be helpful: View albums, playlists, and more in Music on iPhone

Remove Apple Music songs from iPhone

Go to Settings  > Music, then turn off Sync Library.
The songs are removed from iPhone but remain in iCloud. Music you purchased or synced also remains.

Thanks!
