Unable to purchase LinkedIn Navigator when you currently have Premium paid through apple

I currently have a LinkedIn Premium account, purchased through apple as a monthly fee. When I attempt to upgrade (add) Navigator LinkedIn displays a message saying I need to go through apple to modify. The only option apple allows is to cancel/renew my Premium account. I can't add anything. So I cancelled and tried to purchase direct from LinkedIn. LinkedIn will not allow me to upgrade anything until the Premium account expires from apple in a few weeks. any way around this? seems strange to not allow upgrades.

Start by confirming that these are the steps that you are taking to try to upgrade your LinkedIn subscription:


  1. "Open the Settings app. 
  2. Tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap the name of the subscription that you want to change.
  4. Tap See All Plans, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete your purchase.
  5. If you chose a subscription that you can share with family, turn on Share with Family. (Don't see Share with Family? Set up Family Sharing or join a family, then return to your list of subscriptions and turn on Share with Family.) If you don't want to share the subscription with your family, turn off Share with Family." How to switch to a different subscription plan


You can try to change the subscription using a different device. To find the steps, be sure to click the resource.


If the issue continues, Contact Apple Support directly. They will be in the best position to support you.
