Cannot sign into messages on my iPad

I cannot sign into messages and FaceTime on my iPad. It was working fine until yesterday and nothing seems to have changed. Other people living with me have no problems with their devices and their messages and FaceTime

iPad mini 4, iPadOS 15

I’ve already tried all the steps recommended. Signing in signing out, resetting iPad, powering down, etc.
