Messages won't load in Facebook Messenger desktop app

I can find my message history if I search for it, but it's a bit annoying. What could be wrong?

Report the issue to facebook and look at their help center.

A recent update to Messenger has broken the Chats display in some Macs.

If you have a Time Machine backup you might reinstall a previous version of the app and see if that takes care of the issue until the FB fixes the problem.
