Issues with Pasmo and Suica transit cards, Japan trains

After hours of work with Apple Techs and Customer support staff with several Visa and MC issued by major U.S. banks, the only cards in the Wallet that PASMO accepts are AMEX. I am located in the US.

But, I today successfully created new Pasmo transit cards in 2 iPhones (13Pro) using AMEX cards. There seems to be a way to enter info for an actual physical Pasmo card if you have one, then perhaps topping off with a credit card later.

Anyway, Japan is so modern in many ways and then archaic is others. Summary - I could successfully use only AMEX to create new Pasmo cards in Apple Wallet.
