Ventura 13.3 kernel panic and EMTEC USB Type-C Hub issues

Hi,

since I've upgraded to Ventura 13.3 I'm experiencing a lot of kernel panics, one every hour more or less. I've run diagnostics and disk utility tools to check the system and the procedures haven't identified anything at all.

So I started to work without connecting external devices through Emtec USB Type-C Hub and I didn't experience any kernel panic for a lot of hours. As soon as I attached it again with just the mouse, after half an hour I got a kernel panic.

Now I'm using it with just the keyboard attached, just to exclude the mouse and prove it's a problem with EMTEC.

Is it a known issue? Is there a valid list of external USB hubs and devices proven to be compatible with this latest update?

It turns out that kernel panic are happening even without mouse connected, just EMTEC and an external monitor.

Same here. As soon as I start connecting external USB drives I start experiences kernel panics at a fequency of about 1 per 1-2 hours. Without external drives (travelling last week) there is no problem and the system is running fine.

Similar issue. If I connect an external samsung T7 SSD via USB, I'll get a kernel panic after some random time. I hope a fix is coming soon...

I want to add that the responsibility for these issues seems to be any mouse. I tried an optical Kensington mouse and a Bluetooth HP one (which almost instantly froze the system with the usual kernel panic). It seems that without using any mouse I get no problems...Any chances to get it solved?
