Apple tv

I have lost the remote for the Apple box, but have an extra lying around. Can I interface this with the Apple?

What do you do when you don't have the remote for the apple tv box? I bought a apple tv 2nd gen from a thrift store,I just got the box,no power cable or remote dispite searching the area it was placed on the shelf.

Purchased Apple TV 3rd gen without remote (wiped) Hi, I recently purchased a 3rd generation apple TV box on facebook marketplace, but it didn't have a remote with it. Long story short, I ended up connecting it to my computer and wiping/updating the device, in hopes that having it fully updated would help it find my iPhone 12 to use as the remote. However, whenever I open up the remote app in the control center, it just spins as it looks for a device to connect to. How can I set up the TV without a remote? Thank you for all your help! Edit: For what it's worth, the TV is as up to date as possible, and my iPhone is on iOS 12. I also have an up-to-date macbook pro if that would be useful in this situation

if it's an appletv remote then you should be able to

Reconnect the Siri Remote to Apple TV - Apple Support
