My iPod Shuffle won't connect to my iTunes library

My IPod Shuffle will not show up on my iTunes library. I use it to copy music from the library to the IPod.

Hi sixgunsix,

We'd like to share some helpful guidance to assist with iTuens not recognizing your iPod shuffle. We would recommend following the guidance in If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support and the steps for Windows will be most relevant. If you continue to have an issue, you'll want to reach out to Apple Support.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

"I did as you advised and contacted Apple Support. Their response was "they, both of my Ipods are to old". Though they worked just fine, until Apple just stopped supporting them. I see this as a breach of purchase agreement. If they were broken, and you would not fix them OK! But Apple just arbitrarily just rendered them useless."

Give Feedback - iPods:

Being iPod is no longer an Apple-supported produced, giving Feedback on them, is just not an option. So, do so through use of iTunes Feedback. Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what their customers prefer, and what features to include in devices to come.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iTunes - Apple
  2. Select: "Other" fro the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: on why you want this to be an option. Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary
