Proof of purchase for a company phone
Hi
I have just purchased a new iPhone and successfully transferred all of my data from my previous phone to my new phone. However I cannot use my new phone as I forgot the Apple ID. My old phone is logged into my Apple account and is still active (I am using it as normal).
I have been forced to initiate an account recovery for my Apple ID. However the issue that I am encountering is that the recovery process keeps getting interrupted because I have to use my current phone which is signed in to the account that I lost the password for (it is a business phone and I can’t do without it). I am unable to reset the password through the normal avenues, and the account recovery is the only option (don’t ask me why this is what I have been told by Apple support).
With this in mind, my only option is to remove the activation lock from my new phone and create a new Apple ID for the new phone. This is in order to allow the recovery process for my locked Apple ID to continue without interruption.
My question is therefore: what constitutes proof of purchase for a company phone. I didn’t buy the phone myself (my company did) so what will I need to submit to Apple to remove the activation lock in this situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
