Managing my sneaky son’s iPhone

I have family settings on his phone to stop him accessing certain apps. I’ve chosen that he can’t sign out of his apple ID. However, he still manages to change his apple Id and then downloads apps without me knowing?

Until he was 18, I had parental controls set up on his phone and every time that he wanted to download an app, his phone would send me a message requesting permission for the app. It worked great. But, once he turned 18, I no longer find that feature necessary. I've completely turned off parental permissions. I removed my account from the App Store and signed him in under his own name. I think I've done everything I need to do, short of removing him entirely from the family sharing, and I'm still receiving requests for app approval. What's wrong? How do I remove this feature?

Changing Store AppleID login, Family Sharing, & app updates mess 🤪 Before Family Plans were a thing, my child had my old iPhone and I had downloaded apps for them under my AppleID to it. Fast forward to the future where I have an Apple family plan that shares my purchases with my child who is older now and has their own Apple ID. They have signed into the App Store and can download without issues. For apps installed under my Apple ID back in the day, they still need my password to update them. All previously downloaded apps won't update without my Apple password since they were originally installed with my Apple ID when they were younger & Family Plans weren't available. Is there any way to fix this issue without deleting the apps, losing all the data associated with them, and reinstalling them? There's a lot of history in some of those games and apps that will be lost with a deletion. Note, I have my other kids in this situation as well. I'm trying to get ahead of it for them. Thanks!

Can't update age of family member so they can be removed from Family Sharing I'm Family Sharing with one of my children, who is no longer a child. He's 23 now. The app has him listed as 7. No way to change his age? I would like to remove him from family sharing. Can anyone help? Thx.

Check restrictions -> tap Settings -> Screen Time -> Content & Privacy -> scroll to Allow Changes.
and choose Allow or Don't Allow.
