transferring large files with Ventura 13.2.1 (22D68) gives error code -51

When attempting to transfer large files ventura error code -51. Imac just a few months old. Before that with older imac and OS no issue at all. When done via windows laptop, no issue and over same infrastructure. Anyone a solution? For the same reason, I cannot schedule my auto backup of my nas as application only runs on Mac os...

Thanks in advance.

Greetings!

Error code -51 on macOS Ventura typically indicates a file transfer error related to permissions or file system issues (not always critical). Here are a few things you can try to resolve this error:

  1. Check the file permissions: Make sure the file you are trying to transfer has the correct permissions and that you have permission to access it. You can check the file permissions by right-clicking on the file and selecting "Get Info". In the "Sharing & Permissions" section, make sure your user account has "Read & Write" access.
  2. Use a different transfer method: If you are trying to transfer the file over a network, try using a different transfer method such as a USB drive or an external hard drive.
  3. Verify the file system: Make sure that the file system on both the source and destination drives are compatible with each other. For example, if one drive is formatted as NTFS and the other is formatted as HFS+, they may not be compatible.
  4. Repair the disk: Use Disk Utility to repair any errors on the source and destination drives. Open Disk Utility, select the drive, and click on "First Aid" to start the repair process
