What does Apple do to prevent ppl from switching out the left or right AirPod in an attempt to track you.

Giving you a notification of tracking would not stop most ppl from using the device still, as they will only be able to use one pod. Most may not even fully understand what has happened.

I would suggest allowing the ownership of the pod to be revoked after they have been swapped out for a certain period of time. This will give the owner time to switch back if it was a mistake. If it was intentional then tracking should be stopped and the person using the AirPods should sternly be warned that an AirPod has been switched and may be used to track you.

if I’m mistaken in this please put me in the right direction.

Thank you
