After 16.4 update I need to authenticate to access files in files app but how do I do this?
Suddenly many of my files can't be opened or even deleted as I get a message saying, "Can't open file. You need to authenticate before accessing this item". How do I authenticate? Clicking "ok" does nothing. I’ve restarted and I’m signed in to iCloud. Can anyone out there help, please?

Open Settings and near the top and just below your Apple ID, you’ll likely see a notice to verify your device passcode. Tap that. Enter your passcode.

Try and Force restart iPad
Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button and keep it pressed until Apple logo appears, release the button.
The above action should resolve the issue. If it does not, then try signing out of iCloud and then signing back in again.
