I have a spirit airlines boarding pass that I cannot remove from my Apple wallet. There is an “i” icon ans when I tap that there is no option to remove the expired boarding pass. I tried to unhide expired passes and try it that way but there was no difference. Please help! I hate looking at this awful yellow pass in my wallet.

I figured it out. My apologies. I completely did not think that there was a separate “wallet” app. I was able to remove from there. Thanks
Try this:
Go to Settings -> tap on your name (Apple ID, iCloud, Media and Purchases) -> scroll to & tap Payment & Shipping -> Login required.
Then select Apple Pay -> Click Open Wallet.
Now you should see all your cards and passes
Select the one that you want to remove.
Then tap the More button (the 3-dots in a circle) at the top right.
Select the option -> ‘Remove Pass’.

Thank you for your input but unfortunately when I go to Apple Pay the boarding passes do not show up only my Apple Pay linked bank card.

What did you end to doing? I’m having the exact same issue with my old spirit airlines boarding passes.
This still has not worked for me.
So if you look in the iPhone apps there is a “wallet app”. If you open that app you should be able to add or remove boarding passes from there.
